Please spend lots of time reflecting deeply on the NPP’s 8 years in office when:

They turned the nation’s rivers and waterbodies from clear to cocoa coloured with relentless galamsey.
Issued 2000 mining licenses in 8 years, while only 90 licenses had been issued by all governments in the previous 30 years.
Poisoned our rivers recklessly with mercury and heavy metals and changfans.
Recklessly permitted friends and family to build in protected Ramsar sites and in water courses all over Accra.
Turned the Ridge area of Accra into a complete mess with a missing Cathedral, but using excavated material to fill in and build in watercourses at Otojor Dansoman and Tse Addo.
Relentless Corruption and economic mismanagement.
Nana and Cecilia Dapaah failed to turn Accra into the cleanest capital city in Africa.

All Ghanaians should take time to soberly reflect and learn from mistakes made. Amen

The NPP under Nana Addo and Bawumia was an unmitigated disaster. Ghanaians entrusted them with precious power in 2017, and yet they set about tearing the country to pieces. Loot, share and destroy was the outcome of their governance, deliberate or otherwise. This is a fact. We all saw the results up and down the country.

Just imagine bringing in LI 2462 to allow mining in Forest Reserves !!!!!!!! So much damage with excavators, Chinese labourers, Wontumi and several others freely destroying our beloved country. What an evil thing to do to your own country. Cutting down trees everywhere is what contributed to and exacerbated the flooding we have seen all over the country. Thank goodness, the current administration has revoked LI 2462.

Akufo Addo also brought in EI 144 to declassify large parts of the Achimota Forest reserve, stating that it was no longer required as a forest reserve. These are the last remaining green spaces and lungs of Accra. Thank goodness again, the current administration has revoked this EI, otherwise the flooding would have been even worse. Even the department of Parks and Gardens was under attack. They also did this at the Kpeshie lagoon.

All over the world, green spaces are jealously protected and closely guarded for posterity, and the benefit of future generations. Under the NPP, EVERYTHING including Ramsar sites and water courses was up for grabs. It was like a circus. What a very disappointing, shameful and sorry chapter in Ghana’s history.

One has to really wonder how supposedly educated people could do this to a country they claimed to love. I sincerely hope that the delegates in America take time to reflect on what their party did to Ghana.

We all know that members of other parties have also contributed to Ghana’s problems over the years, but NPP paaaa, you have truly been a massive disappointment.
