If they want ten years then the best we can do is to scrap the two terms limit. Any one who wants to rule for ten years should go for three terms, if he thinks Ghanaians love him, and in the middle of the third term hand over and leave the scene.

Tweeaaa 5 years terms for what. If you give a President 6,7, 9, 10 years it will not be enough. What we need is an effective and efficient govt and all will go well. Majority of Ghana are against any increase in Presidential term especially in this era of massive corruption and bad governance. The govt should not forget that the amendment to the Executive arm of govt are entrenched in the constitution and would require 40% turnout with 75% voting yes this is impossible to achieve. Note that in 2024 elections the turnout was 63.97% while NDC 's John Mahama total vote caste was 56%. This means some 20% of NPP voters must vote yes for this amendment to receive 75% votes. There is alot of aparty in the system because of hardship in the country 40% turnout may not be achieved.
