Can you imagine Ghana having a Dictator for 10years? It is good that Togbe is not in favor. I admire Togbe very well. He is not like some of our Paramount Chiefs. Two Four Year terms should be enough for our young Democracy.

I don't know those who are agitating for extension of presidential terms in Ghana. What are these people thinking that the "Four-year term" should be extended to "Five years"? If it goes through, more extension will be called for because of some stupid excuses like we are hearing now.

If those vying for the presidency cannot rule with the "Four-year term" they should get the hell out. I don't think the framers of the constitution were on some hard drugs when they accepted the current terms as enough for any sensible leader.

Take Mahama for example. This creep rose through the political ladder to the presidency, but talk about a human who is so daft, and Mahama is right there so, how many years can such feral do if his brains are not functioning well?

Every Ghana President in power will want extended years. Voters have specified 4. So be it as per the Ghana Constitution. After all, Mahama took an oath for 4. So be it.

If Ghanaian politician want more ex-gratia then they demand longer term. It is not for improving performance.
The current government has four years and are performing, why does it want five years for future governments.

Make it five years and in a few years people will start advocating for six.
