Had the party subjected itself to an exercise proper criticism and self-criticism, it would have realized that CPP has not been doing the important grassroots party work it should have been doing.
The party executives seem to disappear after the general election and wait for the next "Congress" to elect a new Presidential candidate and others. Then they wait to a month before the elections to make a half-hearted tour of the regions. No rallies, no recruitment drive, no advertisements before then. It's a bloody shame! Study what your founder accomplished - without radio, without tv, without the internet!
ORGANIZATION IS EVERYTHING - Osagyefo declared! Money is important but its not the be all and end all of the path to victory. Nkrumah founded 2 newspapers in the late 40s and he won elections even while in prison. Study the examples of Latin America. Evo Morales of Bolivia and the late Hugo Chavez did not win elections because they had tons of money from wealthy financiers. They won because the spoke the TRUTH and moved the masses!!! With the masses behind you, you need no money! To win the masses, you must convince them of the truth!!! You must vigorously explain the truth of the current situation so they understand completely and cannot be fooled by the ruling party and the ex-ruling party!

The problem is that Paa Kwesi Nduom seems to be too self-centred to seek unity with other parties. His record as Minister for Energy under Kufuor is questionable, as he oversaw the poor contract agreements signed with the multinational oil companies.
Moreover, he has not come up with any major policy proposals.
