In any civilized democratic country, the Minister of Interior or the police Chief would have left office by now because they failed Ghanaians miserably. Immediately after the violence, NDC officials started to propagate that it was a mob fight between NDC and NPP supporters, and the Interior Minister shamefully joined in and said that "violence begets violence". He forgot that it was his duty through the security forces to investigate the matter thoroughly and tell Ghanaians who did what since arms and thumb-printed ballot papers were confiscated from some people.

These specific crimes or exhibits could have led us to the real criminals behind the shootings and stuffing of the ballot boxes. But our unprofessional police preferred to toe the line of those in power by claiming that they were going to prosecute ghosts rather than follow the available leads. In the recent suicide bombing that took place at a mosque in Kuwait, the security officers identified and arrested the owner of the car that took the suicide bomber to the mosque and followed it up with arrest of the driver. From there, the investigations led to the masterminds and accomplishes of the heinous crime.

Why can't our security forces investigate the leads or exhibits that could lead us to the bigger picture, rather than gloss over them as if they confiscated the AK-47s, cutlasses and thumb-printed ballot papers from the air? Our security forces, like the government including Mr. Woyongo, are trying to generalize the issue and incriminate others to enable them bury the truth between Azorka boys and Bolga Bulldogs so as to blindfold Ghanaians and cover the government's own tracks. Ghanaians deserve better.

Fellow citizens, let us get rid of ''Azorka boys'' and all other ''boys, boys'' groups in Ghana.These are a serious threat to the security of the country. You don't need to be a security expert to see the dangers these groups pose. Unfortunately, Ghana has an interior minister who cannot think beyond today, and likely to fight over cow meat if his neighbour refuses to share. He therefore does not see the dangers these lawless groups pose to the security of the people of Ghana. Hence, his intention to legalize them.
When encouraged, it will lead to ABDUCTIONS, ASSASSINATIONS, INCREASE IN ARMED ROBBERIES, VIOLENCE AT ELECTION TIME and many other lawless acts that I cannot list here.
The POLICE SERVICE WILL SUFFER MOST. They will be ignored by politicians because the police will be irrelevant to them. The POLICE would therefore be weaken (the provision for necessary tools for effective policing will not be forthcoming) and their service conditions (salary) will get bad.
WE ALL SAW HOW THE 64th BATTALION WAS TREATED IN RELATIONS TO THE REGULAR ARMY. I therefore need not say more. For the good of all of us, fellow Ghanaians, let us discourage the formation of these illegal groups. Left to politicians alone, they will keep the status quo to hold on to power through intimidation and violent means which these groups are meant for.

I do not understand this about our outspoken Political leaders at all. They make all these serious accusations against the Government, and some Parties, and yet fail to seek the appropriate legal remedy to them.

Is it because these loud-mouth Politicians think Ghanaians are so foolishly gullible we would always believe their claims without any concrete proof, and decide to vote for them instead of our established favorites?

Surely, most Ghanaians know about all these things, but they do not have the necessary resources to push them through Court. However, if any Political leader with adequate resources only complains about those bad things in our system but does nothing concrete to stop them, he is only proving his own ineffectiveness as a leader, and should not waste our ears.

Just take another look at the nonsense that Justices Atuguba and Adinyirah produced at the Election Petition hearing. They didn't even have the decency to change the fonts of "cut and paste" cases they cited. Atuguba in particular, had as many fonts in his write-up as the number of authorities he cited.

Dr Nduom is rightly appealing to the court of public opinion rather than the compromised courts with their JSS level judgements!

The fact that some cases did not end up the way some of us expected, does not mean we should always ignore the Courts to take the Law into our own hands.

The Country is not ruled based upon the daily vacillations of Public opinions but the Constitution. We must not let our frustration with the few bad apples steal our good conscience.

Just let us look at a few practical instances. In some parts of the Country, drivers fatally hitting pedestrians are spontaneously jumped upon and beaten, or even killed. In many Towns and Cities, including Kumasi, for example, robbers almost always risk being mob-assaulted, if apprehended. Some of such incidents end up with the death of the culprits. As much as the culprits may be undeniably guilty, would you rather endorse such mob actions to seek revenge or retribution than taking them to the Courts?

Surely, we have incompetent and corrupt Judges and other Judicial Personnel to contend with. But that should not stop us from seeking Justice at the Courts. We must be careful not to throw 'the baby away with the bathwater'.

I would rather favor Nduom appealing to the Public to engender the necessary pressure on the Government to do the right thing the first time, or have the Public support for any demand for fair trial in Electoral cases before the Courts.

Many of us have been unhappy with the verdict the SC meted out on the Electoral Petition case. But we must not use that to side-step the legal system to resort to our own illegal devises to seek what we want.

What we need to do is work harder to persuade the Electorate to vote for the best candidates we know could help change the system. Our Political candidates must not be imposed on the People, nor decided on the basis of ethnicity or Tribe. Besides, they should be known to have a track record of enough competence, diligence and patriotism to move the Country forward, beyond the realm where the primitive urges of nepotism, cronyism and grafting reign. It all needs concentrated patience and education of the masses. Not insults, coercion, deception and vote-buying. Persistent demands for the right thing to be done is what could do the work.

Lastly, we must push our MPs to amend the Constitution to require that Judges to the High Courts are elected and not appointed by the Executive.
