'Africa Plays On? ? New Album Celebrates Africa?s Contribution To World Cup 2006

For the first time, since the release of their new albums, Obrafour and Ofori Amponsah will be performing live, at one of Ghana?s most looked foreword-to events ?The Night of 1003 Laughs?.

On Sunday July 2nd at the Accra International Conference Centre these two most sought after Ghanaian artiste will be performing live at the year?s Night of 1000 Laughs. Dubbed the Nite of 1003 Laughs, the event will witness, on one platform, three of Nigeria?s greatest comedians and some others from Ghana.

Also to be on stage will be Ghana?s 2006 International Music star, Irene Logan and her Runners up, Ramzy and Jane. The declaration of Irene as a Music Star, followed her remarkable performances that were shown on GTV during the Stars of the Future Reality TV series.

Each episode featured the young, charming and sweet-voiced music star singing so passionately; she became the favorite of most viewers.

Aside Irene and the other Music Stars, the Nite of 1003 Laughs will also feature the ever humorous Teju babyface, Okey Bakasi and Klint the Drunk. These three, who have already gained much popularity in Ghana for their incredible rendition of jokes, will, one after the other, be on stage to help tired workers relax after months of hard-work.

Also to be on stage will be Ghana?s comedy Icon, David Oscar and his Runner-up Foster. At the final event of the recently held Stars of the Future Competition,
One after the other, the two, hilarious as they are, will be the main MC and will amidst great humour and joke introduce the arrival of the gurus in the ?comedy business? on stage.

It is expected that the Night of 1003 Laughs which has a record of attracting Politicians, Government Officials, Doctors, Bank Managers, Editors, Journalists, Chief Executive Officers, General Mangers and others will once again serve the purpose for which it was organized ? to help relax and unwind hard working individuals after months of non stop hardwork
