From December 2025 to March 2026, while being on a celibacy journey, actress Vicky Zugah has disclosed that whenever she tells men she wants a relationship without sex, they “quietly disappear” from her life.
In a video shared on her TikTok page on March 26, 2026, Vicky said since late 2025, anytime she meets potential partners and goes on dates, she makes them aware that she is not ready to have a sexual relationship.
She explained that she decided to take this approach after realising she had been attracting the same type of men for some time.
“For somewhere December last year, I thought about my sexual relationships and I realised that I was attracting the same type of men. So I decided by myself, on my own, I was going to change the pattern by taking sex out of the table. So my subsequent relationships, I’ve been going on dates with men, I’ve been talking to potential partners, but I take sex out. Since December till today,” she said.
According to the actress, she has interacted with about 10 men since December 2025. Some of them she went on physical dates with, while others she didn’t get to meet because they don’t live in Ghana.

She noted that one common thing she observed about these men is that when she initially mentioned she was taking sex off the table, they took it lightly.
They assumed she was probably not serious or would give it up over time, but when they realised she was serious, they quietly disappeared without a word or explanation.
Vicky further encouraged other women to consider celibacy, saying:
“Celibacy helps you to take your time to see beyond everything and filter out serious people. If you really want to see how many people approach you just because they want your body without any genuine intentions, try celibacy. In a world where people can live with just anybody, where sex is readily available all over the place, I mean, one of the cheapest things you can find today is sex,” she urged.
