Nigerian socialite, Bobrisky
Controversial Nigerian crossdresser, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, popularly known as Bobrisky, has sparked debate among social media users following the kind gesture shown to him by friends and colleagues.
The popular crossdresser took to her Instagram page to publicly acknowledge and express sincere gratitude to everyone who sent money to him while in prison.
Although netizens were not pleased with the 'respectable' celebrities who were said to have donated to the crossdresser, others have argued that it was a laudable gesture.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had on April 5 secured the conviction of Bobrisky. He was charged on four counts bordering on naira abuse.
Bobrisky wrote, “Few people that know me know I love to appreciate Favour. There’s this popular saying that 'if you thank people who were there for you today you will get another one when you need them'. God bless you all for standing up for this little child God bless you. There are still good people. Thank you sir."
