2018 BET Awards: How can I lose when I came from nothing' - Kwesi Arthur

Ghanaian rapper, Kwesi Arthur is unperturbed by his loss at the 2018 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards.

He lost out on the ‘Viewers’ Choice – Best New International Act’ award to the South African artiste, Sjava. Hours after the event was held, Arthur tweeted: “How can I lose when I came from nothing.”

He gained mainstream acclaim after the release of his song ‘Grind Day.’ The remix of the song featuring Sarkodie and Medikal cemented his appeal to music fans.

The 2018 Ghana Music Awards ‘Hip Pop Song of the Year’ winner has since featured on a number of songs by both mainstream and ‘underground’ artists.

American rapper, Kendrick Lamar topped the list of winners at the 2018 edition of the awards scheme hosted by Jamie Foxx.
