TGMA says it has concluded its nomination process
The Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs) Board has announced the conclusion of the nominations process for the 27th edition of the awards.
In a statement issued by Charterhouse and sighted by GhanaWeb on April 2, 2026, the organisers indicated that after giving artistes a window to raise concerns over issues such as incorrect song or album attribution, spelling errors, and other discrepancies, the process has now officially been finalised.
According to the Board, all submissions received within the review period were thoroughly examined with the utmost diligence and fairness, adding that the published nominees list remains unchanged.

“Following the release of nominations, the Board received a number of petitions and appeals from artistes, management teams, and key industry stakeholders. These submissions primarily raised concerns relating to category placement, nomination eligibility, and inclusion in specific award categories.
“The Board confirms that all submissions received within the review period were duly examined with the utmost diligence and fairness, in strict adherence to the scheme’s established guidelines and evaluation criteria. Following this process, the Board further confirms that the published nominees list remains unaffected,” the statement noted.
The Board also expressed its appreciation to artistes and stakeholders for their engagement and support throughout the process.

The statement further reassured stakeholders of the scheme’s commitment to maintaining integrity and fairness.

“We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to fairness and integrity in administering the awards, and to advancing Ghana’s music culture on the global stage,” it added.
