4×4 joins ONE8 supergroup, Chris Brown, Rhianna and others rumoured to join

After speculations earlier this week that Ghanaian dancehall artist, Samini would be joining the one 8 supergroup, news coming from One8’s social media networks suggest that the hiplife group 4×4 would be joining the supergroup instead.

The trio of Captain Planet, Abortion, and Fresh Prince are undoubtedly one of the biggest groups from Ghana currently. With a string of hits to their credits, 4×4 has not just won the hearts of their fans with their fresh and contemporary R&B, hiphop and dancehall infusions, but they have also won several awards including Ghana Music Award nods. They also topped the list of nominations for the 2010 4syte Music Video Awards slated for November 20.

This news means that artists signed so far to the ONE8 Group are Alikiba (Tanzania)JK (Zambia) Navio (Uganda) and 4×4 (Ghana). There are also rumours suggesting that other artists currently in negotiation to join the group include Nigeria – 2Face, Amani – Kenya, Movaizhaleine – Gabon and Fally Ipupa – DRC

Meanwhile news coming in from the record labels behind the 0ne8 campaign indicates that Rockstar4000 Record label heads out to Chicago to lock down the major International superstar, producer and Video director for the ONE8 group hit song. Also, famous International act to join the group on their hit song would be announced soon. But big names such as Chris Brown, Rhianna, Pink have been hinted.
