4real records in collaboration with “No Yawa” a flagship program of Marie Stopes International has organized a charity event for the people of the Budumburam Camp. The youth of Budumburam Camp/Liberian Camp were educated on sexual and reproductive health by trained personnel from Marie Stopes International. They were also sensitized on sexually transmitted diseases.

The people were also given free contraceptive products by “No Yawa” as part of the excise.

Liberian Camp is a very youthful community with less or no information about sexual and reproductive health therefore, most of the people engage in premarital and unprotected sex leading to teenage pregnancies. Some are also into alcoholism, drugs and prostitution which are also the main causes of unwanted pregnancies in the community.

Speaking to Constant Baako field officer for Maries Stopes South-western, he stated that the program was well embraced by the vibrant community and also added that though the people of Budumburam Camp have little information sexual and reproductive health they are very welcoming and such excises should be frequent to enhance proper dissemination of information about sexual health in the vicinity.

JKL aka Dr. Money Chairman of 4real records and organizer of the event also stated that the purpose of the program was fully achieved.

He added that the event will be annual and will extend to other communities. He finally gave thanks to supporters of the Charity event.
