Last week Friday, what seemed to be impossible and nice was made possible. Ghanaian hiplife artistes showed their love for their fellow artiste, K. K. Fosu as he launched his album at the Golf House ? Achimota, Accra.
Call it whatever day but I would say it was "A Great Day" in the Ghanaian music industry as hiplife artistes like Tinny, Kokovelli, Batman, Etuoaboba, Castro, Screwface, Reggie Zippy, Kofi Nti, D Black, Nkasei, Osrani, Bohyeba, Tic Tac, Abrewa Nana, Funky Roy Boy, Motia, Ako the Parrot and other media persons like Bola Ray, Yaw Sakyi, Jackie and Kalsoum (all actresses), Samira, and DJ Stonash were present.
Originally, this program was meant to outdoor K. K. Fosu's new album to the public, but it turned out to be the most talked about party of the month. Yaw Sakyi of Choice FM who opened the floor by calling out the artistes in the building was stunned by the attendance.
Bola Ray came thru by calling some of the artistes onto the stage to do their own thing for some few minutes, where Batman, Tinny, Reggie Zippy, Tic Tac and more did a view verses of their songs.
It was a good thing to see ?The Trinity? on stage once again, doing a few dance moves and songs. Most of the artistes that attended the show said they were honoured to be part of his album launch and were happy about his album.
Finally, finally, finally, it was the turn of K. K. Fosu himself dishing out soul soothing songs from his '6'oclock' album and also introducing his new camp or group - D Camp, who backed him well.
Well, I heard the album and have certified it as a good product for the Ghanaian market, but am yet to ask K. K. Fosu what '6'oclock' really means. If you also want know what it is, then stay tuned to Ghana Music.com for more on K. K. Fosu, Ghana's R. Kelly.
