Ghana was hit by energy crisis during the tenure of John Dramani Mahama.
This led to the closure of several businesses and this brought about hardship in the country.
One individual who stood her grounds to ensure that the crisis is resolved was actress Yvonne Nelson.
Although she was called names and insulted by some politicians, she brought Ghanaians together to demonstrate to call on the government to resolve the issue.
In a post on his Instagram page, Kwame A Plus has eulogized the brave Ghanaian woman for her showmanship and the fact that she was able to cause a change in her own small way.
His post read “Complete woman!!! Hero!!! Many people have forgotten so soon how this woman stood up and fought the government when we experienced our worse energy crises. In spite of all that was said about her and the threat she received, fear did not stop her from doing what makes Ghana great.
@yvonnenelsongh is one of the human beings I have so much respect for. We can not talk about the stable electricity we are enjoying today without mentioning her. She is the Yaa Asantewaa of our time. #Smart#Beautiful #intelligent #bold #heroine#womanofsubstance. ?baa Hemaa, I hail you this morning…. “.
