Stars of the future finalists, Jemima Annor-Yeboah, who belongs to a family of five singing sisters, has released her maiden album shortly after the programme aired recently on GTV ended.

Titled 'Awurade Ani Wo Meso?, the eight-track album contains soul-inspiring songs all written by Jemima and Simon Ayeh, arranged by Bishop Annor-Yeboah and Michael Nti and recorded, mixed and mastered at Rhythm Africa Studio, Ashongman estate.

The road to achieving her dream of becoming a music star has not been as easy as one will think but coming from a family of singers including her father, Rev. Annor-Yeboah and all four sisters, Mavis Annor-Yeboah, Totime, Deborah, Karen and Julie; it is not surprising that she has come far.

Jemima Annor-Yeboah was born in Sefwi Wiaso in the 80s but grew in Accra.

At five years, Jemima was already singing at the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Accra and formed the junior choir at seven, from where she joined the adult choir at 18, leading some songs during worship.

Now with the praise choir international of the Christian Praise International Church, she was encouraged to take part in the stars of the future programmme because she had always expressed the desire to be a star especially when the Lux advert showing Genevieve Nnaji was played.

The experience, confidence and exposure she had on the programme is what has motivated her to come out with her maiden album which is greatly enhanced by her voice.

And in 'Awurade Ani Wo Meso', Jemima uses her voice to compliment the good instrumental arrangement. With the harmonious backing vocals solidly behind her, she, in 'Onyame Woho Yehu', emphasizes the confidence and strength of her voice, which cannot be ignored.

Several years of leading the mass choir becoming evident in her rendition of 'Nyiyimu' in which her voice cuts melodiously across the backing vocals in a praise style singing.

The big band sounds of the instrumentation in combination with Jemima?s presentations are real joy to listen to.

Other songs on the album include 'Ma Whe Whe No', 'Tumi Wura', 'Gyedi', and 'Yesu Mmo'. Jemima believes her music will bring people closer to god. Currently in school at the Career Development Institute Studying Hospitality Management, her aim is to hit the international market and already has a website, www.jemimannor-yeboah.com going.
