Akosua Hanson, co-host of Ghana’s number one celebrity and lifestyle show, Celebrity Fanzone has responded with dismay claims by wife of Highlife legend, AB Crentsil that she knew her husband had cheated on her several times but she refused to file for a divorce.

Akosua Hanson who is also a presenter with Accra-based YFM in responding to those claims argued that what transpired in the marriage of AB Crentsil should never be the norm for all women. According to the beautiful presenter, the fact that AB Crentsil’s wife refused to file for divorce doesn’t mean every woman should keep ‘mute’ when their husbands cheat on them.

“This is not the standard that all women should aspire to. This shouldn’t be the status quo for me and my husband and you and your husband. Do not use this as pressure for all women because she [AB Crentsil’s wife] stayed and do not use it as a standard for all relationships,” Akosua Hanson cautioned.

Jessica Opare Saforo, also co-host of the show had a very different view even though both condemned cheating in relationships. Jessica disclosed that she had come to the realization that men who cheat in a relationship do not necessarily mean they do not love their partners. She also questioned the rationale behind leaving your man who has cheated on you for probably another man who will do same.

“I have discovered over the years that when a man cheats on you, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you. It is a twisted thing but it is the truth. Unless he is being upfront and pleasant about the cheating then of course, it is disrespectful but when he hides it and tries to keep it away from you, then it actually means he still cares for you.”

Do you agree with Akosua Hanson when she argues that AB Crentsil’s relationship with the wife shouldn’t be the benchmark for all women in society?
