The beef between AKA and Cassper Nyovest is one of the most storied feuds in SA hiphop history and it looks like it is officially over.
Over the last few years that two have thrown shade at each other on social media, gotten into physical altercations and eventually released diss tracks targeted at each other. And we loved every single moment of it.
The beef escalated in late 2014 when a video showing AKA taunting Cassper at the South African HipHop Awards went up online. A few weeks later, Cassper claimed that a member of
AKA’s entourage had pulled a gun on him during a taping of Live Amp at the SABC. For a while, it seemed the two had squashed the beef when images of them hangingout at a hotel began circulating on social media.
But that was a false alarm. The two continued to go at each other with AKA slapping Cassper at a nightclub and both men releasing official diss tracks.
But now all that seems to be a thing of the past and SA’s two biggest rappers are buddies again.
It all started on Saturday morning when AKA tweeted a good luck message to Cass ahead of his successful #FillUpOrlandoStadium concert.
Good Morning! This is the day the lord has made. @casspernyovest, today is your day. Good luck & God bless.
