Following our earlier article on Abbi Creation Fashion School using an image shoot by Bob Pixel photography for Maksi clothing without given them credit for their hard work. In case you missed that, click here to read.
The CEO of Abbi Creations, Rev David Kojo granted us an interview yesterday in his office and said the management of Abbi Creations has sent an apology to the designer and the photographer.
He further explained that the management of the school had no knowledge about the image used by the student neither approving it for them.
The model in the picture is currently studying fashion designing in the school and according to the report reaching the management; she submitted the image to the student representative council (SRC) to be used for SRC fashion week which is being organized by the student.
We also interviewed the model; in her word, the image was a total free shoot (TFS). TFS is an arrangement between the photographer, model and designer to organize a photo shoot without anybody being paid but they all have right to use the image BUT she admitted that she should have given credit to other two party as ethic demanded and she also apologize for not doing that.
We also received a copy of the message sent by the management of the school to both the designer and the photographer. Read…“hello please kindly note we are not saying the design is by Abbi Creation, your model in that dress is a student of the school and part of the organizers of the SRC fashion week of Abbi Creation and she presented that picture for the SRC to use for the marketing of the SRC week pls. We want you to know we are very sorry for any inconvenience it has caused you or your company. The initiative is by the students and not Abbi creation as a company. Once again we are very sorry.”
So as it stands, all parties involved are at peace henceforth.
