Information reaching the News-One newspaper suggests that ace broadcaster Abeiku Santana and celebrated actor John Dumelo could soon be blackmailed.

For close to three weeks a lady who gave her name as Edna has been inundating News-One with phone calls over the two. Edna alleged that John Dumelo impregnated her thrice and forced her to terminate the pregnancy after which he dumped her and refused to pay for the cost of the abortion.

She claimed that Abeiku Santana impregnated her once and also refused to take responsibility. Edna asked the paper to force him to give her some money as compensation, adding that if he fails to do so the paper should publish the story.

Edna claimed the last pregnancy was aborted on December 15 2010 and she has not set eyes on John Dumelo since that date. She said Abeiku promised to give her an amount to GH¢1500 when she became pregnant but hid until he denied responsibility for the pregnancy. Edna said she would share any money she gets from the two equally with News-One.

Initially, Edna said she resides in Accra New Town but when News-One insisted on visiting her residence she said she had relocated to Kumasi. Again when the paper told her that News-One has an office in Kumasi and that an arrangement could be made for its reporters to meet her, Edna said she had moved to Takoradi.

Interestingly when questioned further, Edna could not disclose the phone numbers of either Abeiku or John. She also could not tell where they reside or what type of cars they use. Edna finally got worked up and told News-One that if the paper was not interested in the story, she would go to another media house in order to get the money from the two.

She explained that both Abeiku and John are well-known people who would prefer to part with the money rather than have their reputation tarnished in the media and told the paper that it would not be difficult to collect the money from them. However, both Abeiku and John have denied all the accusations.
