Aboakyer festival starts May 6

This year?s Aboakyer festival will be held on Saturday, May 6 with the hunting of a live deer. The celebration will, however, start with an open marathon competition on April 29, 2006.

This year?s Aboakyer festival will be held on Saturday, May 6 with the hunting of a live deer. The celebration will, however, start with an open marathon competition on April 29, 2006.
A statement issued by the planning committee said the usual exciting regatta and tug-of-war competitions at the Aboadze beach will be held on May 2, 2006. It said the festival would showcase other traditions from the Guan fraternity with special guests from the Yeji and Soh traditional councils.
