Rapper Ayigbe Edem now known as Edem can never be well written without mentioning Ace Music producer Hammer of the last two. Hammer’s trademark has been talent discovery and grooming.
Big names like Obrafour,Edem,Tinny,Sarkodie,Teephlow and many others has passed through his hands.
Hammer discovered Edem who was rapping in the Ewe language in an era where Twi rap was the order of the day. Because he has an eye to see talent and greatness, he believed in him, groomed him and made a star out of him.
In an interview with Arnold Mensah Elavanyo – host of the Only radio entertainment morning show Ampluzz on Pluzz 89.9fm, Hammer revealed that Industry player Abraham Ohene Djan rejected Edem when he was consulted to invest in him.
“He rejected Edem and was unwilling to invest in his talent because he believed Ewe rap would not sell so I had to do it myself” Hammer stated. Hammer has gotten the eagle’s eye that can spot greatness from afar and so his investment in Edem was profitable and now Edem is undoubtedly one of the best rappers in Africa.
Hammer is yet to release his album titled “The last of a dying breed” which features Sarkodie,kwaw kese,worlasi and many others.
