After a successful show in his honor at this year’s Legends and Legacy Ball last weekend, Amakye Dede is set to rock Norway fans as he is billed to perform with his Apollo High Kings band on October 13, during an event dubbed ‘A Night With The Royals’.

Organizers Nordic Ghana Investment Services (NorGhis) said the event cost 500kr with advance tickets selling at 7 eleven and narvesen kiosks and African shops in Oslo. “Amakye Dede’s show in Norway will be the biggest this year counting from reports gathered in Ghana during his recent concert. The legend has promised to prove why he is tagged as the king of highlife during the Norway live band show,” organizers said in a release.

“Our event is in two parts; the first event which has the theme: ‘The Role of the Diaspora In Bridging The Socio-Economic Development Gap Between Country Of Origin And Country Of Residence’ will take place at RadissonBlu Plaza Hotel.

“After that event will be the dinner dance and music of which in the evening will host a rave of massive revolution of highlife music as the legend takes stage in a night of musical explosion inside Ballroom – Oslo’,” the organizers stated.

There will also be a special appearance by the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, with the master of ceremony being Kwesi Kyei Darkwa (KKD).

“Ghanaians living in and around Europe are expected to seize the opportunity to enjoy the rich Highlife music in style as NorGhis will make you experience the heat just like how we do it in Ghana.” The event is also aimed at presenting a momentous platform to portray Ghanaian culture to the Norwegian people, project highlife music to the Norwegian people and bring together distinguished men and women in business to interact.
