Accidents in Kumawood: Actors, Producers prepare for prayers

If there is pragmatism that is overwhelming and scary in the entertainment industry in Ghana it is the series of unfortunate accidents in the Ghana Movie Industry.

These misfortunes that have occurred in recent times has become a very serious top being discussed by top industry players on various platforms.

As a step to help stop any further reports, an upcoming occasion where all the big names in the industry particularly Kumawood stars would meet and pray for the industry, has been planned.

The top stars discussed the rationale for hosting an all star event at Apatakesease -Kumasi Centre of National Culture.

Confirming the story to seancity.com, Prophet cum actor Emmanuel Boakye popularly known as Ogyaba, reiterated the need to seek solutions to the problems upsetting the industry.

Ogyaba added, “the way the industry players are involving in series of accidents, there is fear in every artiste’s heart that they may be the next if something good is not done to address the trend”.

He said, “the reason why we should come together is because we want to show that we care for ourselves and it is time for us to recognize that the problem is beyond our human power and to seek a higher power in dealing with it.”

"I had a dream concerning death traps accidents and other obstacles to happen in the industry ,so I informed my colleagues on our group chat before Vivian Jill, Benedicta Gafah, Nana Yaa Konadu and others were involved in an accidents, so we are serious to pray and hinder the devil before something bad happens".

Ogyaba further stated that, after the prayer which is scheduled to come off on 10th December 2015, they will do an offertory service and send it to one of the orphanage homes in Kumasi.

This move has been backed by Evander Kwame Agyemang, Martha Joyce and most of the film producers, directors and crew members in the Kumawood industry.
