Organisers of Accra Fashion Week (AFW) have announced a partnership deal with automobile giant, CFAO Limited, for its ‘2018 Summer Harmattan’ edition.

This year’s fashion week will take place from October 3 to 7 at the CFAO car showroom in Airport, Accra.

The fashion week is often described as the only Ghanaian fashion event that takes Africa by storm.

It arguably puts Ghanaian fashion on the world map and is now about to make another revolutionary mark in Ghana by being the first major fashion week in Africa to be executed twice a year.

It’s expected to bring a number of African designers to town.

Works from top leading fashion brands like Bri Wireduah, Aphia Sakyi, Afre Anko, Ekua Addo, Mish Mega, Madlyn Mode, MXDonna (Nigeria), Mark Johnson (UK), Onyx by Valentina (Nigeria) and more will be on display.

Taking place in Airport, the heart of Accra city, the event is slated to host a wide range of celebrities and feature Ghana’s best runway models.

The organisers, in partnership with CFAO Limited, will also execute for the first time in Ghana a car and fashion show, where a mix between moving cars and cat-walking models will be exhibited on October 5, 2018.

The event is aimed at proving that Ghanaian and African fashion is far trendier than imported ones and connect local boutiques and press with leading brands.
