Final year students of Accra Polytechnic Fashion and Textiles Department, would showcase their talent at the World Trade Centre, opposite Cedi House, in Accra on May 20.
Students have been given the opportunity to come up with their own ideas and concepts under a supervisor to create garments out of the concept.
This forms part of the academic requirement for final year students at the Fashion and Textiles Department of the school.
Mr Fred Nabi Yankey, a final year student in designing, told Ghana News Agency in an interview that each student has to network to facilitate the fashion industry.
“We came up with our own idea and concepts to create garments, which has been exhibited and approved by our supervisors.
“So this is the time to showcase to the fashion industry the creativity that we intend to offer the industry and to enhance customer satisfaction, which will help us create our own links to better our lives and not to be dependent on anyone,” he noted.
The event, which has about 100 students showcasing their talents, is on the theme: “Birthing creativity to enhance customer satisfaction.”
The event would attract a fee of GH¢ 50 for VIP and GH¢ 30, regular.
