The maiden edition of the “African Union Cultural Festival” is set to take place in Accra.
Scheduled for the Efua Sutherland Children's Park on October 27, the cultural festival will feature over fifty public and private schools from across the country.
An initiative of leading events company Planet One, the festival is set to bring together a cross section of Africa's youth to display the various inter-cultural traits of the states that make up the African Union.
Activities for the one-day event will include drama, poetry, a mock durbar as well as a staged African parliament forum, cultural display, and dance.
“We are going to celebrate Africa in grand style on this day”, says Gilbert Boakye Nhyira, CEO, Planet One.
“It will be a wonderful spectacle that would linger on for years. We are convinced that at the end of this event, we would have sold an inspiring story to the rest of the world”.
AU Cultural festival is a Planet One Multimedia event.
