Actor turned movie director Eddie Nartey after working on six movies as a director thinks he has worked enough to prove his critics wrong.

The alumnus of the University of Ghana, Legon in an interview with Joy News’ MzGee at the premiere of ‘In April’, his recently directed movie said a lot of people thought he could not survive when he veered from acting and decided to work behind the camera.

According to him, he has had many moviemakers laud him for the movies he has directed since he started his newly found job. Eddie Nartey added that he feels happy when critics speak well of his works.

“It has really proved some people wrong. People are impressed because they didn’t think that a young Ghanaian like myself would bring this standard so far in the industry.

I get people like Frank Raja and other people commending me and I think its exciting” the actor cum movie director told MzGee.

Eddie Nartey born November 6, 1984 is a Ghanaian actor, director, and producer.

He got his first opportunity to do his directorial debut entitled “COULD THIS BE LOVE” where he co-wrote the movie with Evelyn, which cast actors like Majid Michel, Kwadwo Nkansah (Lil Win), Nana Ama Mcbrown, Fred Amugi, and Gloria Sarfo and later collaborated with Juliet Ibrahim on the movie “SHATTERED ROMANCE”. He then wrote and directed the movie “ROYAL DIADEM” and “SHE PRAYED”.
