Ghanaian actress, Brenda Osei Bonsu, the News-One newspaer can say, is cooling off in faraway United Kingdom where she grew up, before relocating to Ghana to pursue her acting career for some time.

She quietly left the shores of Ghana sometime in December last year, without saying goodbye to most of her friends in the movie industry for reasons yet to be established. Brenda has featured in a number of moves including ‘Beautiful Liar’ starring Nollywood’s Yemi Blaq, ‘Material Girls’, Dons of Sakawa’,’, Chelsea’ among others. Before travelling to UK, Brenda had reportedly begun maintaining a low profile in the industry. She hardly answered her calls from friends. She started her own TV production but left abruptly for the UK. According to sources, she was expected back in Ghana early this year.

It is not clear if she wants to say good bye to the movie industry, but News-One is checking for more details. The light-skinned actress began her romance with the move industry two years ago. In the early 2008, Brenda who had lived and schooled in London for a greater part of her life, got her first move role in hit Ghanaian movie ‘Faithful Liar’ starring Kwame Owusu Ansah and Omar Sheriff Captan before she was cast for Venus Films’ ‘Dons of Sakawa’ and ‘Material Girls.’ Her role in ‘Material Girls’ was allegedly taken away from her in the middle of it by director Frank Rajah as a result of a misunderstanding between her and the director.

The reason, unconfirmed sources alleged, had some romantic undertones. But Frank Raja denied it, saying Brenda disrespected him. “She wants to probably believe that because she is a friend of Abdul Salam, she’s got the mouth to talk but I had to ask her to leave the set. I told the production that I am done with her,” he once told News-One.
