Actress Khareema Aguiar yesterday touched the hearts of the underprivileged at the New Horizon School in Accra, where she donated a plasma TV and other important items to the pupils and officials of the school.
It forms part of the actress’s social responsibility to give back to society.
The New Horizon School is a place for underprivileged children or persons, especially those who are autistic.
Khareema was at the school with Amanda Jissih, host of GH One’s E-Talk entertainment programme.
They used the opportunity to mingle with children at the school and officials as well.
The donation took place two weeks after Khareema’s birthday.
On her birthday, she brought together some of the crème de la crème of the entertainment industry at her Latebiokoshi home.
It was an exciting moment for her as she and other invited celebrities posed, popped champagne and danced to soothing rhythms to celebrate her milestone.
Among the stars who were there to share in her happiness were Nana Ama McBrown, Yvonne Nelson, Funny Face, Kwaw Kese, Amanda Jissih, actress Salma Mumin and a host of others.
Khareema became very popular after her supporting role in Shirley Frimpong Manso’s ‘Checkmate’, starring alongside Nadia Buari, Ekow Blankson, Naa Ashorkor Mensah Doku and Senanu Gbedawo.
She surfaced on Ghana’s movie scene through the television series ‘All That Glitters’ on TV3 in 2005.
Since then, she has appeared in a number of movies including ‘Turn Me On’.
