Actress Lamisi Nelson has lost her father Godfried Manwura.
He died at age 65 on April 21, 2018 after an undisclosed ailment. He was buried in accordance with Islamic rites but a funeral ceremony will be held on his behalf in the north on May 12.
The ‘Heels & Sneakers’ actress confirmed the father’s unfortunate passing on Tuesday evening, saying, “I will miss him.”
Lamisi is one of the new sensations rocking the industry. She made her debut in acting in 2009 movie titled ‘Victims’. She has since featured in a couple of Ghanaian movies.
The past student of Tamale Girls’ Secondary School studied acting at Ghallywood Academy, where she had her diploma in acting.
After graduating, she did a bit of modelling and TV commercials before featuring in movies.
Among her movie credits are ‘Victims’, ‘Home of Fuckery’ and a couple of others.
She was recently featured in Yvonne Nelson’s produced series, ‘Heels & Sneakers Season 3’. Her aim is to excel in every sphere of her life by giving her best performance in whatever she does. She is self-motivated, committed and also professional in her line of work. She has acted alongside renowned actors like Kofi Adjorlolo, Ekow Blankson, Yvonne Nelson and many more.
An actress and a businesswoman, Lamisi hails from Walewale.
