Veteran and beautiful Ghanaian actress, Queen Sarbi Debrah has disclosed that current stars are not taken through rehearsals before standing in front of the camera, hence a fall in quality of movies in Ghana today.
According to Sarbi Debrah who spoke to seancitygh.com, in the days when the industry was active and appreciated by Ghanaians, they did not just go straight on set to shoot but rather rehearsed before going on set, citing Rev Samuel Nyamekye of Miracle Films.
“In those days, before going in front of camera, you had to be taking through rehearsals, one thing that is currently not in use. So when you meet an artiste from Miracle Films, you can see a vast difference. In fact, Miracle Films trained artistes. We had to learn a lot.”
She however encouraged the current crop of producers and directors to put into practice rehearsals with the stars before standing in front of the camera and that will bring out the quality of movies we are expecting.
