Adeyemi Adebayo takes one for all Showbiz Bloggers/Writers in Ghana

Showbiz Bloggers and Online Writers in Ghana have been recognised through GhanaWeb’s Adeyemi Victor Adebayo who was recently adjudged Ghana’s Showbiz Blogger and Online Writer of the Year at the fifth edition of the City People Entertainment Awards.

The event held at the 10 Degrees Event Centre, Billings Way in Lagos over the weekend was graced by the crème de la crème of the showbiz industry meriting the onus of being tagged the biggest event in Nigeria.

Since its inception, Ghanaian showbiz patrons have been awarded via 18 reserved categories for Ghana of which the Showbiz Blogger/Writer of the year award was picked by Adeyemi Adebayo amidst stiff competition from blogging giants including Eugene Osafo-Nkasah, Ameyaw Debrah, Obed Boafo and Ebenezer Anangfio.

The outspoken Adeyemi Victor Adebayo expressed profound joy and appreciation after receiving the award and dedicated it to the staff of GhanaWeb and all the readers of the number one online news platform in Ghana.

“I believe this is an indication of importance being attached to our profession and it is our responsibility to perfect what we have started for the future generation to enjoy our struggle”, he added.

Bola Ray and his Empire Entertainment team, Juliet Ibrahim, Efya, Edem, Kafui Danku, Chantell, Ama K. Abebrese, among others also won awards in the 17 other categories from music to movies and television.
