Jackie I would like to take this opportunity to introduce to you, Jackie Appiah, a young girl with a great deal of talent, looking for her big break in TV.

After leaving Canada, where she lived most of her youthful life, she came to settle down in Ghana and has been working for TV3 for sometime now and is the hostess of the new kid on the block, I mean E-Zone (Entertainment Zone).

As a young girl, she has gained immeasurable experience during this time in all areas of television and her future ambitions is to have her own TV programme that will be aired on foreign stations in the world. She also hopes to work with Black Entertainment Television (BET).

Asked about what she feels about the programme, she said ?I am very happy and its fun for me to have my own show.?

Jackie was born on December 5, 1983 in Canada to a Ghanaian family of three sisters and one brother. Her family had to move to Ghana in 1995 and that was when her stardom started. Her father, George Appiah and mother, Janet Owusu had five children in all. She is the youngest and last born. She has plans of entering the university next year after completing Harvard College.

Jackie partook in the 'Hal Jackson Talent Teen Contest' where she missed the grand prize by a point placing her as the first runner-up.

Jackie?s kept herself continuously involved in TV and media activities where she now has her own movie titled ?Divine Love? where she is the main character and other Ghanaian movies in the pipe line.

In a separate interview with Iso Paelay, the producer of E-Zone, he said ?Ghanaians have great interest in Entertainment news ? national and continental as well as global. TV viewers will love to know more about their celebrities in the music, arts, film, etc, so TV3 decided to produce a programme that will satisfy entertainment loving Ghanaians. ?

The programme runs for  thirty minutes. E-Zone has four segments comprising of ?Top Kickers?, ?Down Town?, ?Up Close? and ?Charts?. ?Top Kickers? is when they highlight on stories from the local and foreign entertainment world. ?Up Close? is when the presenter has a one on one chit chat with any celebrity to know more about him/her. ?Down Town? is when E-Zone goes to towns of Ghana asking serious, crazy and funny questions from people. The final segment is the ?Charts? where they have local and foreign music charts.

E-zone has had musicians like Batman and K.K. Fosu, Tic Tac and Tony Tetuilla, Buk Bak, 4x4, Mac Tontoh, Smart Nkansah (Ghanaian musician based in London), Fresh Trouble characters, Miss Maliaka contestants and more graced it.

Jackie loves having fun and swimming when she's not on location.

For her last words she decided to advice the young ones who want to enter the media industry that they shouldn?t hide their talents within themselves and whatever they like doing best they should do it and always keep their heads up. And also wanted her viewers of E-Zone to keep watching it because they?ve got the juice and don?t get lose because E-Zone is the newest kid on the block.

Through the power of media, Jackie has created an unparalleled connection with celebrities in Ghana.
