Afia Schwarzenegger invited by CID for wearing police uniform

Controversial on-air-personality and comedienne, Afia Schwarzenegger, has incurred the wrath of the Ghana Police Service over some pictures she posted on social media last week. Afia posted photos of herself in police uniform as Ghana celebrated its 61st Independence anniversary.

Meanwhile according to reports, the photo has caught the attention of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and Afia Schwar has been called for questioning.

She is reported to by Atinkaonline.com to have met CID officials on Tuesday, March 13, exactly one week after posting the photos, invited to explain why she was wearing those uniforms contrary to the laws of the country. Afia Schwar is said to have explained that, her decision to wear the uniform had to do with an upcoming TV series on TV Africa.

Afia further explained that the producer of the said programme gave her the police uniforms for promotion on social media. The police allowed her to go as they seek the said producer for questioning.

Born Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, Afia Schwar came into the limelight with her lead role in the popular TV series, Afia Schwarzenegger. After falling out with the show's producers, Afia went on to carve a career both as radio and TV presenter. Afia usually makes news headlines for controversial reasons as she often engages in many banters on social media.

She was, within this week, spotted in a verbal confrontation with Prophet Kumchacha, who himself is another controversial character.
