“The African actor goes on set and waits for the script to be completed, reads to it for a few minutes and he/she is ready to flaunt their skills in front of the camera”', Emeka Enyiocha, a top Nollywood actor tells Hi Newspaper’s Tony Nenebi in Accra over the weekend

He continues: “The African actor doesn't have the luxury and technology enjoyed by actors in the West, specifically Hollywood and yet, we are able to deliver satisfactory level of performance. We simply magicians. This means that, if we get what our counterparts in Hollywood have, we can do even better”. with Hi Newspaper, he said African artistes didn't need to go to Hol In an interviewlywood to be recognized. “Let's make our industry better and Hollywood itself won't have a choice but to want to partner with us like they did with the Indian industry, Bollywood.”

The actor-turned-producer just rounded up a TV soap opera called “School” in Nigerian and is currently producing a TV show called “Patrons” that addresses the problems associated with using fake producers on the market. He hasn't been acting for the past 11months but would be bouncing back in style in December.

He has this advice to his fellow actors, “I think every actor should have an idea of what goes on at the post-production session of movie making. That way, they would be in better position to give producers what they actually want on set.”
