The African Global DJ Awards, which was to be held at the Sandton Convention Center, Johannesburg, South Africa, this Saturday, will now take place on June 4, enewsgh.com can authoritatively say.
The postponement means Ghana’s representatives DJs Black, Mic Smith, Mensa, Abrantie, Kess, Billy Ocean and Killer Fingers will have to wait some few more weeks to know whether they are picking up awards or not.
Also missing out of this weekend’s action is songstress Efya, who was scheduled to perform. Actress Yvonne Nelson and Hiplife duo R2Bees, who were also billed to present awards, have been left hanging.
The AGDA is aimed at recognising the growing importance of disc jockeys to the African and global music scene.
The awards is powered by Stronghold Entertainment and StatsMedia Group in conjunction with Geobeck Ent.
