Ace comedian, Aben Nkwan, became the toast of hundreds of people, including policemen that stormed the Ashanti Regional Police Headquarters last Friday to witness this year’s WASSA.
The humorist cracked mind-blowing jokes which sent people at the event, including DCOP Kofi Boakye, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, laughing like nobody’s business.
Aben Nkwan entertained the huge crowd for almost 30 minutes. His delivery was so interesting and concise that it forced most of the excited people present to ‘spray cash’ on him.
Prior to Aben Nkwan’s stunning show, top movie star, Kofi Adu, popularly called ‘Agya Koo,’ who is also a renowned musician, had entertained the crowd with his melodious highlife tunes.
Enjoying backing from another ace musician, Aseebu Amenfi, Agya Koo’s performance attracted DCOP Kofi Boakye and other top dignitaries at the event to the dancing floor amid wild shouts.
This year’s WASSA was graced by the Bantamahene, Baffuor Asare Owusu Amankwatia, Samuel Sarpong, the immediate past Ashanti Regional Minister and Brig Gen Joseph Boampong, the GOC, Central Command.
Addressing the gathering, DCOP Kofi Boakye expressed happiness about how crime has reduced in the Ashanti Region within a spate of one year, promising that the police would do more to chase criminals from the area.
