Kumawood actress Matilda Asare has laughed off claims by outgoing FIPAG PRO, Michael Ola that veteran actor Agya Koo wanted to join NDC but rescinded his decision to endorse Nana Akufo Addo due to certain benefits he did not get from the ruling party.

The actress who doubles as PRO for “Agya Koo Agenda 57% for Nana Addo” in an interview with Dave Hama on Hello FM in Kumasi refuted the allegation saying that celebrities for NDC are hurt by their decision to join the leading opposition party hence their plans to defame the actor

Matilda Asare added that they will not pay attention to statements from the opposition aimed to distract them from their campaign.

“I laughed over this allegation when I heard it. What kind of politics are they doing? There is nothing on this planet that can prove that Agya Koo or myself went to NDC for money.

They are just hurt by our decision to campaign for NPP so they want to say anything but we do not care about those things.

We’ve not gone to NDC or NPP for cash so there is no truth in what Ola is saying. Our focus is not what he (Ola) is saying. All our focus is to let Ghanaians know the hardship in the country so lets change the government for Nana Addo to continue.” Matilda Asare told Dave Hama.

Zionfelix.net reported not long ago that Michael Kwaku Ola, a Ghanaian movie producer who has publicly endorsed president Mahama ahead of this year’s general has alleged that “Agya Koo approached the high ranks of the party (NDC) to have a discussion on defection to NDC, Agya Koo has waited for certain response which is not coming, I have that on audio, at the right time I can let you have it. When his demands were not met he had to think fast, which producer will call Agya Koo for any movie? Kojo Nkansah Lil Wyn and the rest have taken over. The only way he (Agya Koo) can survive is to find a political party to support and get something small”.
