Akosua Agyapong refused to pick my calls - Witness

A businessman has told an Accra Circuit Court he reported GH 105,000 cedi land transaction to the Police because Akosua Agyapong, the musician and Frank Agyemang a contractor refused to pick his calls when he demanded the land documents from them.

Mr. Jonas Asamoah, the complainant said Agyemang told him that he was now working with National Security as such he could not answer his calls.

In the case of Akosua, the complainant said when Akosua failed to pick her calls, he used his wife number to call Akosua and she answered.

”However, when my wife introduced herself on the phone, Akosua hanged up, I then realized that the matter was beyond me so reported the issue.” he said.

Complainant told the court continuing evidence in chief before the court presided over by Mrs. Priscilla Dapaah.

He was testifying in a case in which Akosua is accused of conspiring with her brother, Agyemang to defraud him of GH¢105,000.00 in a land transaction.

Mr. Asamoah said he was informed by the two accused that Madam Dora Okyere who originally owned the land was yet to transfer the land documents to Agyemang.

The witness further stated that Aksoua and Agyemang told him that Madam Dora had travelled to Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region.

“So after several excuses, I decided to go and work on the land but one Mr. Asante confronted me saying it belonged to him,”” the witness said.

In respect of the car the witness gave to Agyemang, he (witness) said the Police retrieved his RAV four (4) for him but Agyemang had caused damaged to the windscreen.

Mr. Asamoah said Akosua gave him several assurances that she would ensure that land documents were signed and delivered to her.

During cross examination by Mr. B.T Agbalie, one of the defence counsels, Mr. Asamoah admitted that he recorded all the text messages of the accused persons.

Akosua and her accomplice Agyemang, a businessman, a.k.a. Killer Boss, have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime and fraudulent transaction of land.

They have pleaded not guilty and are on bail.

The matter has been adjourned to January 11.
