The collection
Aku Shika Fashion House, makers of a Harmattan/Winter collection to the world is out with yet another collection dubbed "Couture Sans Pareil" which means "Beyond compare."
According to Aku Shika, the brain behind the designs, “the aim of the 2016 collections is to let the world know that even though West Africa does not experience many seasons, they [West Africans] have their own which is the harmattan season which needs to be recognized.”
She said: “We [Aku Shika Fashion House] wanted to be different from the normal SS collections, fall and winter collections. So, we decided to introduce the Harmattan/Winter collection.”
The company, Aku Shika Fashion House, said their brand has been in existence for four years now and that it took them two months to put together their latest collection.
