Omama Royal Chocolate, a new Ghanaian product, was launched on Friday with the announcement of media personality and former queen of Ghana’s Most Beautiful, Sally Akua Amoakowaa Mensah, as its brand ambassador.
The mother of two boys has been described as one of the enterprising figures in Ghana’s showbiz scene. She is currently the host of Purple Room on Angel TV and also the general manager at Angel TV.
The Omama Royal Chocolate product was launched on Friday at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
It attracted a number of personalities like KOD, KKD, Doreen Andoh and a host of others.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nana Agyenim Boateng 1, Amoamanhene of Atwima Nwabiagya District in the Ashanti Region and Managing Director of Cocoa Processing Company (CPC), stated that “it is time for Ghanaian entrepreneurs to look to creating partnerships to add value to our local produce and build competitive brands for export.”
Ghana’s cocoa, he indicated, is greatly desired worldwide and offers a good prospect for producing and branding multiple products for local consumption and export.
Chairperson Ms Agnes Adu, Managing Director of the Ghana Trade Fair Authority, commended Nana Yaa Konadu, Managing Director of Nayak Afrik, and her team for adding Omama Royal Chocolate to their product range as they diversify from fabrics and fashion to food and beverage brands.
Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, CEO of The Finest Productions, the brand and marketing consultancy for Nayak Afrik and organisers of the event, encouraged Ghanaians to patronise and publicise Ghanaian brands wherever they go.
