NPP Sources Tell Africawatch…

Say His Frustration Taking Heavy Toll On His Personal Health

The respected Pan-African Magazine, Africawatch, in its July 2013 edition has dropped a bombshell, disclosing that the 2012 opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo is not well at all, and that, his defeat in the last presidential election has taken a heavy toll on his health. The sources as the Africawatch revealed, have that, Nana Addo has become obsessively anxious of becoming president of the Republic of Ghana, despite his age.

“There are rumblings within the NPP that the party won’t allow him to take a third shot at the presidency in 2016, and as a result, some say, he has become increasingly desperate and paranoid.

At age 69, the exasperation is taking a heavy toll on his personal health”, the Africawatch quoted NPP sources as saying.

It was also captured in the Africawatch magazine that “the narrow defeat was stinging for Akufo-Addo, who also narrowly lost to Mills in the second round of the 2008 elections, despite leading comfortably after the first round.

Akufo-Addo had hoped to turn the tables on the NDC in 2012, but if the court rules against him, his once promising political career could hit an abrupt end”. Editors Note: This is the extent to which Nana Akufo-Addo had allowed his inordinate ambition of becoming president to affect his health status, even when there are indications that Ghanaians do not want him as their leader.
