President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will today Wednesday 14 December visit Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, for the first time after his electoral victory.
Mr Akufo-Addo is due to meet the Asanteman Council and some traders at the Kumasi Central Market afterwards.
Residents of Kumasi have called on him to be a unifier and also fulfil the campaign promises he made to the people of Ghana.
Mr Akufo-Addo was declared by Ghana’s Electoral Commission as the president-elect after polling 53.85 per cent of valid votes cast in the December 7 polls.
He beat his closest contender, incumbent John Dramani Mahama, who got 44.40 per cent, and five other candidates.
