Akwaboah's album, 'Matters of the Heart' will be released this month
Last night, at the Accra City Hotel, famed Ghanaian singer/ songwriter, Akwaboah Jnr, held a listening session for his highly anticipated 2018 album, Matters of the Heart. The event was attended by fellow musicians, his team, and industry people.
Consisting 12 songs, the record, his first under Sarkodie’s SarkCess Music imprint, features collaborations from the rapper, label mate Strongman, Nigeria’s Seyi Shay, Efya, and TxT.
Acclaimed for penning some of the most influential contemporary love songs from these parts, such as Becca’s ‘Daa ke Daa’, SP Kofi Sarpong’s ‘Ayeyi Ndwom’, and much of Sarkodie’s 2015 live album ‘Mary‘, the singer’s work is widely anticipated to be groundbreaking.
Son of Highlife great Kwadwo Akwaboah (formerly of the Marriotts International Band), the 2010 VGMA Songwriter of the Year is currently signed to SarkCess Music, and recently published “Hey Me Bo”.
The album is expected out in coming days.
