Mampong (Ash), Aug 3, GNA - The death was reported on Monday of Mr Akwasi Ampofo Adjei, a musician at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi after a short illness. A close relative told the GNA that the late Ampofo Adjei, 57, was travelling from Mampong to Kumasi to attend Court when he fell into a coma on reaching Tafo, the outskirts of Kumasi.

He was to give evidence in a Kumasi Court in a case in which one David Kwabena Afriyie, a Kumasi-based gospel musician, was standing trial for pirating his (deceased's) album titled "Abuaba". He said burial arrangements would be announced later.
