Member of Parliament for the Tamale North Constituency, Alhassan Suhuyini has backed Tamale-based artiste, Macassio to win the New Artiste of the year category next year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
According to the Legislator who had a meeting with the musician, there is the for Tamale to win the category like they did last year with Fancy Gadam emerging as a winner.
He said “The Ghana Music New Artiste of the year must be maintained in Tamale and Yes he can”. He indicated that Macassio and Fancy Gadam are inspiration to the youth and motivates them to do what people hitherto though they could not do.
He said “they must motivate us to do our best with every talent we have, no matter the wrong perceptions people may hold”.
Fancy Gadam and Maccassio have carved a niche for themselves as the two leading artistes working relentlessly to put music from the Northern Region of the country to the world.
