After successfully organizing Ashanti-fest, oil city-fest, Suncity-fest in Sunyani,Kof town-fest MTN, Ghana’s biggest communications company, are poised for Savanna cities-fest in the three northern regions of Ghana.
In an interview with ghanaweb, Mr.Richard Acheampong,General Manager,Marketing services of MTN, stated the communications giant will use the event to to deepen its relationship with the people of the North and also show the company’s appreciation to their numerous subscribers spread across the north.In his words”The celebration of this festival in the Savannah Cities is MTNs re-affirmation of our commitment to the the three Regions with tailored customer experience engagements”
Activities lined up include commissioning of 3-unit classroom block in Kanvilli, Tamale, presentation of hospital equipment to the Chereponi hospital and sod-cutting for neo-natal centre for the Tamale Regional hospital. According to Mr. Richard Acheampong, as MTN celebrates eleven million subscribers in Ghana, it is important for the company to continue to invest in all communities and savanna-fest offers the platform to unveil some of the projects they have been involved in,as reward for the loyalty .
On Saturday, 27th October, in the northern regional capital, there will be MTN walka-thon, where a special health walk would be undertaken through the principal streets of Tamale, followed by azonto aerobics at the jubilee park. From 9am-5pm on the same Saturday, a special inter-community soccer-gala would be held at the Tamale stadium annex for all communities in the tamale metropolis to compete for a special trophy and cash prize. Samini and friends would also thrill music lovers in a special live concert at the tamale stadium in the evening, at the tamale sports stadium.
Other activities have also been scheduled for WA and Bolga on the 3rd and 10th November respectively, where the Upper East and West get their fair share of the fun.
