Highlife music legend, Daniel Amakye Dede, has presented an amount of GH¢ 31,530 to the family of his late manager, Isaac Yeboah, who died through a motor accident on January 1 at Bonsu Junction near Nsutam in the Eastern Region.

Proceeds from Isaac Yeboah’s burial and funeral ceremonies held on January 29-30, 2016 at the Abrantie Spot in Accra were given to the family.

According to Abrantie Amakye Dede, “Though I spent an amount of GH¢ 49, 296 on the funeral of my late manager, the amount I spent on the funeral was my way of giving my manager a befitting burial. I’m not taking it from anybody. It was my way of showing respect to my former manager.”

He ordered an amount of GH¢ 10,000 to be given to the late Isaac Yeboah’s mother who lives in Takoradi, adding that the remaining GH¢ 1,500 should be given to the family for transportation back to their homes.

Isaac Mensah, an elder brother of the late manager, who received the donation, thanked Abrantie Amakye Dede for his kind gesture and promised that the two children left behind by his late brother would be well-taken care off.

The highlife legend, his manager and his bodyguard, Prince Mensah, were involved an accident at the Bunso Junction near Nsutam on the Accra-Kumasi highway, where they had gone to perform at the Paradise Rest Stop during the New Year in the late hours on Friday, January 1, 2016.

While Isaac Yeboah died on the spot, his bodyguard and Amakye Dede sustained injuries and were admitted at the 37 Military Hospital and Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital respectively.
