Veteran actor Fred Nii Amugi has pleaded with fellow movie makers to support the current administration of the Ghana Actors Guild (GAG) led by Sam Fiscian to salvage their welfare.
Mr Amugi made the plea when he spoke to Ray Charles Marfo on Adehye FM’s Showbiz Arena on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.
“We should all come on board, both the screen actors and those who seem not to find the Actors Guild attractive, so we can all help to propagate our agenda,” he said.
“The current leaders of the Ghana Actors Guild are concerned about our welfare and so I’m pleading that we will support Kalsoum Sinare, who is the Welfare Officer, to achieve her aim. They are worried about how to cater for the aged actors/actresses who can’t perform anymore. So let’s support them,” he added.
The Ghana Actors Guild has been bedevilled by a lot of challenges which have stalled its progress for the past years.
