An evening of live art and music with artist Larry Otoo

Roots Hotel Apartment, the boutique hotel located in the heart of Osu will host a live painting session and exhibition with Larry Otoo, the legendary Ghanaian painter and artist on Wednesday, 27th November, 2019 at Purple Cafe at 8:00pm.

Purple Cafe is located in the lobby of Roots Hotel. The live painting session will allow attendees to witness Mr. Otoo’s creative process as he paints in real time and music performance by Owurasax, a saxophonist. Several works will also be on display for the exhibition.

“At Roots Hotel we have been dedicated to highlighting Ghanaian arts and culture with our Back to Your Roots program that connects visitors to Ghana and the local community with cultural activities. We are excited to host the Live Art session with the internationally recognized Ghanaian artist, Larry Otoo for an interactive evening of art and music,” shares Rima Fakhry, Director of Customer Experience at Roots Hospitality International, the parent company for Roots Hotel Apartment Accra, Roots Hotel Apartment Abidjan, and Urbano Hotel.

Larry Otoo has exhibited his works in Asia, America, Europe and Africa and held an exhibition entitled “Vibrant Colours” at Out Of Africa Gallery (OOA) in Barcelona, Spain earlier this year. Otoo’s art will be on exhibit and also for sale at Purple Cafe until the end of December.

The live art session is a free program held in partnership with Roots Hospitality International, Purple Cafe and Eat and Paint.
